Selection Process 

Each year, the Shannex Excellence Awards generates a high volume of quality submissions, reflecting our  growth and Great People. Designed to ensure fairness and transparency, the selection process continues to evolve based on feedback and best practices.   • For each award category, a selection committee is established with representatives from leadership, operations and category subject matter experts. This process is overseen by the Brand Team.
  • Selection committee members participate in mandatory training to review eligibility, scoring, and the selection process. 
  • Before the scoring process begins, all nominations are reviewed to confirm eligibility. 
  • All eligible nominations are then assigned to the selection committee members for that particular award category, and selection committee members will only see submissions they are scoring. Selection committee members will independently score each submission in their assigned category, and will not be able to see the scores provided by any other committee member.

  • If a member of the committee has been nominated for an award, they will either be reassigned to a different category, or they will abstain from the process to avoid a perceived conflict of interest. 
  • Once all scoring is complete, finalists will be identified and reviewed at a final meeting for each award category to confirm the winner. 

Announcement of Finalists & Winners 

Recognizing the high volume of quality submissions we receive every year, we will be announcing finalists for each award during Great People Month in May 2025. With so many Great People going above and beyond, we look forward to sharing more about the nominees and the ways they're leading the way and inspiring a culture of service in our communities every day. Winners will be announced at the Shannex Excellence Awards event in late May (and published on this website)!
