A total of nine categories are available for nominations as part of the 2025 Shannex Excellence Awards. Individuals can be nominated for more than one category, and nominators can submit as many nominations as they would like! / Un total de neuf catégories sont disponibles pour les nominations dans le cadre des Prix d'Excellence Shannex 2025. Sales Achievement Award
Description
The Shannex Sales Achievement Award is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in sales, as determined by their sales achievements, annual planning and bringing to life Shannex's Guiding Principles as they carry about their work. This award is not open for nominations due to the established criteria.
Requirements
Three (3) awards will be given annually, one (1) for Nova Scotia, one (1) for Ontario, and one (1) for New Brunswick employees.
All Shannex Sales & Marketing employees are eligible for the Sales Achievement Award.

Service Excellence Award
Description
The Service Excellence Award is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence through their exemplary professionalism and contributions to improving the lives of those we serve (residents and patients). Recipients of the Service Excellence Award provide extraordinary value to the organization by consistently demonstrating our Guiding Principles: Compassionate, Honest, Professional, Safe.
Each guiding principle is demonstrated by three actions:
To be Compassionate - show empathy, respect privacy and take action.
To be Honest - take responsibility, be trustworthy and communicate clearly.
To be Professional - address conflict, be respectful and develop your skills.
To be Safe - recognize and identify risks, be careful and remember self-care.
Additionally, these individuals demonstrate creativity and initiative in improving service excellence, influence others in delivering service excellence, and exhibit a desire to improve service by continuously expanding their knowledge and skills.
Requirements
Ten (10) awards will be given annually. All criteria must be met to be eligible for an award.
All Shannex employees are eligible for the Service Excellence Award.

Innovation Excellence Award
Description
Innovation is at the heart of what we do at Shannex which is highlighted by our vision of Leading the Way to Better Living and evidenced by our core value of Always Improving Quality. The Shannex Innovation Excellence Award is presented to an individual or group that has inspired or implemented an innovative idea, way of working, solution, product or service that has had significant positive impact on the lives of residents or team members.
Requirements
One (1) award will be given annually. All essential criteria must be met to be eligible for an award.
All Shannex employees are eligible for the Innovation Excellence Award.

Shannex Cares Award for Community Impact
Description
The Shannex Cares Award for Community Impact is presented to a volunteer, community group, Shannex Cares grant and/or Great People Give recipient, partner, etc. that demonstrates excellence through their passion, inspiration to others and connection with Shannex's vision and strategic priorities. The individual or group is a trusted partner in our communities. They bring compassion, professionalism, honesty and safety to their work and are aligned with Shannex's commitment to creating stronger, healthier communities.
Requirements
One (1) award will be given annually. All essential criteria must be met to be eligible for an award.
A current or previous volunteer (individual or group), community group, grant recipient, partner, etc who has demonstrated commitment and reliability to the residents and the organization is eligible for the Shannex Cares Award.

Christopher Reinhardt Safety Excellence Award
Description
The Christopher Reinhardt Safety Excellence Award is awarded to an employee or group that consistently demonstrates safety leadership through participation in health and safety initiatives, innovation, education, and promotion. The recipient consistently demonstrates our Guiding Principle of Being Safe by recognizing and identifying risks, being careful and demonstrating self-care.
Requirements
One (1) award will be given annually. All essential criteria must be met to be eligible for an award.
All Shannex employees are eligible for the Christopher Reinhardt Safety Excellence Award.

Environmental Sustainability Excellence Award
Description
The Environmental Sustainability Excellence Award recognizes an individual or group of individuals who demonstrate and/or have developed impactful initiatives resulting in enhancements to Shannex's overall environmental sustainability.
Requirements
One (1) award will be given annually. All essential criteria must be met to be eligible for an award.
All Shannex employees are eligible for the Environmental Sustainability Excellence Award.

President's Leadership Excellence Award
Description
By leaning into our core values and consistently demonstrating our Guiding Principles in our everyday work, we live our brand and inspire others to do the same. The President's Leadership Award is presented to an individual that demonstrates excellence in leadership by inspiring others through their positive example and promoting a work environment that is respectful and supportive. They demonstrate a desire to develop their skills and supports the growth and development of others. This award is not open for nominations due to the established criteria.
Requirements
One (1) award will be given annually. All essential criteria must be met to be eligible for an award.
All Shannex employees are eligible for the President's Leadership Award.

Care Excellence Award / Prix d'excellence en matière de soins
Description
The Shannex Care Excellence Award is presented to an individual or group who demonstrates a commitment to excellence in the provision of care while putting residents/patients first. This individual evaluates their care practice through the lens of our Guiding Principles and is a role model to others. They are always compassionate, honest, professional, and safe and inspire a culture of care excellence among those in their midst.
Le Prix d'excellence en soins Shannex est décerné à une personne ou à un groupe qui fait preuve d'un engagement envers l'excellence dans la prestation des soins, tout en plaçant les personnes résidentes/patients au premier plan. Cette personne évalue sa pratique des soins à travers la lentille de nos principes directeurs et est un modèle pour les autres. Elle fait toujours preuve de compassion, d'honnêteté, de professionnalisme et de sécurité, et inspire une culture de l'excellence des soins à tous ceux qui la côtoient.

Founders Seal of Excellence Award / Prix du sceau d'excellence des fondateurs
Description
The Founders Seal of Excellence Award will be presented to the site/team that demonstrates high performance in the following categories: Resident/Patient Satisfaction, Health and Wellness, Financial stability, Employee Engagement/Satisfaction. The winner of the award will be selected annually by a panel of Senior Leadership members and is not open for nominations. This award will be presented to the General Manager or Site Manager at the Shannex Excellence Awards Gala.
Le prix du Sceau d'excellence des fondateurs sera décerné au site/à l'équipe qui aura fait preuve de performances élevées dans les catégories suivantes: Satisfaction des personnes résidentes/patients, Santé et bien-être, Stabilité financière, Engagement/satisfaction des employés. Le lauréat du prix sera sélectionné chaque année par un panel de membres de la direction générale et n'est pas ouvert aux nominations. Ce prix sera remis au directeur général ou au Responsable de site lors du gala des prix d'excellence de Shannex.
